Enfield DMV Office Re-Opens Amid Efforts to Improve Customers' Experience
  The Department of Motor Vehicles today (Feb. 7) re-opened its Enfield office following extensive renovations as part of the agency's overall plan to improve buildings, use online technology more and cut bureaucratic red tape.

DMV Office Schedule in Recognition of President Lincoln’s Birthday
  Department of Motor Vehicles customer service centers will close for the state holiday observing President Lincoln’s birthday on Friday, February 10, at 12:30 p.m. and most will reopen Tuesday, February 14, at 7:45 a.m.

DMV Announces Temporary Office Schedule Changes to Prepare Staff for Customer Service Improvements
  The Department of Motor Vehicles is upgrading its computer systems to offer more online transactions and DMV offices will shortly have temporary downtime so staff can learn about developing features in the new system. The temporary downtime, when an office will be shut only on a specific day, will affect offices statewide beginning Feb. 7.

DMV’s Norwalk Office to Offer Additional Customer Services
  The Department of Motor Vehicles announced that its Norwalk office beginning January 3, 2012, will restore several customer services to meet needs in that area.

UPDATE:  DMV's Enfield office reopened on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

 

Visit Convenient Offices Ready to Serve You - Bridgeport, Danbury, Derby, Hamden, Middletown, Milford, New Britain, Norwalk, Norwich, Old Saybrook, Putnam, Waterbury, Wethersfield, Willimantic, Winsted and 15 AAA locations around the state. Check here for DMV and AAA services and address for each location.

 

DMV is asking customers to remember they can avoid long lines at the DMV regional service hubs in Bridgeport, Danbury, Hamden, Waterbury, Willimantic and Wethersfield by going to other service locations staffed by both DMV and AAA.  Find a service location.

 

UPDATE: There is no need to rush to DMV. The SelectCT ID program is for people with expiring driver licenses or ID cards. Your current license or ID card will be honored at airports and federal buildings until its expiration, which could be months and years from now. Renewals are done only 120 days in advance of the expiration date.  So, please wait for the renewal notice and know that your current license and ID will be accepted.
