DMV: Arrest Summary

ARREST SUMMARY - Oct, Nov, Dec 2015
 

Motor Vehicle Inspectors made the following arrests.  The case status may be found on the CT Judicial Website.  (WPTA is a written promise to appear) General law enforcement activity related to commercial motor vehicles may be found in the Weigh Station reports.

 

December 30, 2015 Inspectors arrested Joshua Cardoza, 39, of Waterford for the unlicensed sales of motor vehicles in Waterford.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

December 30, 2015 Inspectors arrested Nicole Genovese, 21, of Bristol for driving an unregistered motor vehicle with a suspended license in Bristol.  She was released on a WPTA.

 

December 9, 2015 Inspectors arrested Richard Amatulli, 48, of Danbury for operating an unlicensed auto repair shop in New Milford. He was released on a WPTA.

 

November 24, 2015 Inspectors arrested Christopher Caldarola, 48, of Seymour for 2 counts of forgery 2nd, 2 counts of false statement, motor vehicle title fraud, criminal impersonation and the unlicensed sale of a motor vehicle in Waterbury.  Caldarola was arrested by warrant after Inspectors received a complaint that J and J Customs and Sales of Waterbury sold a truck which had its mileage illegally altered.  Caldarola was processed at Waterbury court and held on a $1,500 bond.

 

November 23, 2015 Inspectors arrested Matthew Vasquez, 26, of Cromwell for operating with a suspended license, window tint, defective exhaust and failure to change address after he was stopped at the Wethersfield DMV inspection lane.

He was released on a WPTA.

 

November 20, 2015 Inspectors arrested Kelvin Townsend, 47, of Hartford for the unlicensed sale of a motor vehicle in Windsor in September.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

November 17, 2015 Inspectors arrested Kenneth Martin, 45, of Windsor for 2 counts of forgery, 2 counts of criminal impersonation and 2 counts of false statement in connection with the illegal sale of a motor vehicle in Windsor.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

November 9, 2015 Inspectors arrested Thomas Freeman, 50, of Middletown for driving with a suspended license on Rt. 17 in Durham.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

October 27, 2015 Inspectors arrested Alfredo Roman, 40, of Waterbury and Luis Camacho, 77, of Meriden for odometer tampering and selling cars without a CT dealer license.  Inspectors received a consumer complaint that J & J Customs and Sales of Waterbury sold a truck which had its mileage illegally altered.  Roman and Camacho were released on WPTAís.

 

October 22, 2015 Inspectors arrested Janet Carter, 30, of East Hampton for driving with a suspended license on Rt. 2 in Glastonbury.  She was released on a WPTA.

 

October 21, 2015 Inspectors arrested Javier Masias, 22, of East Hartford for possession of marijuana and possession with intent to sell while his vehicle was at the Wethersfield DMV inspection lanes.  He was processed and released on a $1,000 bond.

 

October 19, 2015 Inspectors arrested Luis Flores, 27, of New Britain for false statement after he allegedly falsified a school bus safety inspection report for the First Student bus company in East Hartford.  Flores was released on a WPTA.

 

October 15, 2015 Inspectors arrested Dale Weaver, 24, of Norwich for operating with a suspended license and illegal passing on Rt. 12 in Norwich.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

October 13, 2015 Inspectors arrested Kevin Moore, 36, of Hartford for operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle with a suspended driverís license on Rt. 2 in Bozrah.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

October 9, 2015 Inspectors arrested James Dobensky, 44, of Plantsville for falsely reporting the theft of a motor vehicle and insurance fraud in Southington.  He was arrested by warrant, processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

 

October 8, 2015 Inspectors arrested Gustavo Pereira, 30, of New London for operating with a suspended license on I-395 in Norwich.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

October 6, 2015 Inspectors arrested Pamela Brown, 31, of Norwich for operating with a suspended driverís license on Rt. 214 in Ledyard.  She was released on a WPTA.

 

October 5, 2015 Inspectors arrested Shaun Allen, 54, of Hartford for operating an unlicensed auto repair shop at his home.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

October 1, 2015 Inspectors arrested Umut Yucel, 39, of Waterbury on 2 counts of larceny 3rd and 13 counts of failing to provide a motor vehicle title upon sale.  Yucel, owner of car dealership Best Buy Wholesalers in Middletown, was arrested by warrant after Inspectors received complaints that Yucel allegedly took over $4,000 from customers for extended warranties but failed to forward the money to the warranty company.  Yucel was processed and released on a $5,000 cash bond with an October 15th court date.
