In response to Hurricane Sandy, the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles Melody A. Currey issued a temporary waiver of IRP requirements for out-of-state commercial motor vehicles that have been coming into Connecticut to provide direct relief from the storm.  This waiver will remain in effect through the close of DMV business on Friday, November 30, 2012, after which it will be cancelled. 

 

Any commercial motor vehicle operating in this state after 4:00 p.m. on Friday must be in compliance with Connecticut’s IRP requirements.
