The International Registration Plan (IRP) business process is changing. Carriers that belong to IRP will have full reciprocity in all IRP jurisdictions under the new Full Reciprocity Plan (FPR). Below is a list of changes that began on January 1, 2015:
The FPR will apply to any new carrier whose registration begins on or after January 1, 2015 and any current carriers whose registrations will expire on January 1, 2015 or after regardless of when they renew.
Cab–cards will show all jurisdictions, you will no longer need to select the jurisdictions you intend to operate in.
Adding jurisdiction supplements will be eliminated.
Trip Permits will no longer be needed for IRP carriers.
Registration fees will be based on your fleets actual distance for the reporting period (July-June), estimating distance will no longer be necessary.
More information will be posted on these changes in the near future. If you have any questions, you may review the FRP documents on the IRP, Inc. website, www.irponline.org
