Child Safety Class
Holiday Schedule: DMV customer service centers will close for the Memorial Day holiday on Friday, May 27 at 12:30 p.m. and reopen Tuesday, May 31 at 7:45 a.m.
All AAA offices will be open to process renewals for driver licenses and non-driver ID cards during their normal business hours on Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28. AAA offices will be closed on Monday, May 30.
If a ticket for not using child safety equipment or not using it correctly is posted to your driving history, you will be notified by mail at the address on your license to complete a Child Safety Class.
The class must be completed within sixty (60) days from the mailing date of the notice.
The course is two (2) hours in length and is given at the following locations:
Department of Motor Vehicles Naugatuck Valley Community College
60 State Street 750 Chase Parkway
Wethersfield, CT Waterbury, CT
To enroll in the child safety class contact the Driver Services Division at (860) 263-5720.
If you fail to complete the class your driver's license or driving privilege will be suspended for a period of sixty (60) days. To be reinstated, you will need to complete the class and pay a restoration fee of $175.00
