The processing time for a title varies according to a number of considerations and can take approximately 30 days or longer to be completed after the date of vehicle's registration.

• If there is no lien on the title, the title will be mailed to the new owner (the name that appears on the registration).
• If there is a lien on the title, the title is mailed to the lien holder.

Connecticut does not participate in any electronic title or electronic lien holder program and at this time is not able to receive an electronic title or lien holder record.
