|Time to Test for Radon|
| ||The Connecticut State Department of Public Health (DPH) urges Connecticut residents to test their homes for radon gas, the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers. Health officials estimate that radon is responsible for more than 21,000 lung cancer deaths each year in the United States.

This is a great time to review activities, practices, and equipment to keep us safe from carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. Connecticut has a yearly average of 390 emergency department visits and 20 inpatient hospital stays due to non-fire related CO poisonings.

Device. This device is commonly used to deliver naloxone, a life‐saving drug used in the event of a
suspected drug overdose. The device is also used to administer medication for life‐threatening
hypoglycemia and epileptic seizures.|
