Use Of Revised Real Estate Conveyance Tax Return
PURPOSE: The purpose of this Announcement is to explain to Town Clerks and tax practitioners about the availability of the newly revised Real Estate Conveyance Tax Return (Form OP-236 [Rev. 7/93]) that will replace the July 1992 version of the return.
DISTRIBUTION AND USE OF REVISED FORM: The newly revised return will be distributed to all town clerks and otherwise made available to tax practitioners and the public beginning September 1, 1993.
During September 1993 either the old or the new version of the Real Estate Conveyance Tax Return may be submitted to, and accepted by town clerks. Beginning October 1, 1993, however, only the new version may be submitted to and accepted by town clerks.
