TANF Summary and Analysis of Engagement in Additional Activities – April - June 2011 (43 KB)
The TANF "Engagement in Additional Work Activities" report now requires states to report on work-related activities that do not necessarily conform to the mandatory work requirements established by federal law. Connecticut reports that that if these additional activities were included in federal requirements the CT work participation rate would rise from an estimated 41.5% to 59.9% for the April-June 2011 quarter.

The TANF "Engagement in Additional Work Activities" report now requires states to report on work-related activities that do not necessarily conform to the mandatory work requirements established by federal law. Connecticut reports that that if these additional activities were included in federal requirements the the CT work participation rate would rise from an estimated 39.6% to 63.4%.
