Caseload Reduction Credit Report for Public Review and Comment
The Connecticut Department of Social Services is seeking public review and comment on the methodology and the case number estimates used in its Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Caseload Reduction Report to calculate the state’s TANF Work Participation Rate for Federal Fiscal Year 2014.

  TANF Summary and Analysis of Engagement in Additional Activities – April - June 2011 (43 KB)

The TANF "Engagement in Additional Work Activities" report now requires states to report on work-related activities that do not necessarily conform to the mandatory work requirements established by federal law. Connecticut reports that that if these additional activities were included in federal requirements the CT work participation rate would rise from an estimated 41.5% to 59.9% for the April-June 2011 quarter.

Connecticut reports that that if these additional activities were included in federal requirements the the CT work participation rate would rise from an estimated 39.6% to 63.4%.
