Governor Rell Announces Gen Re to Remain in Stamford with State Assistance
  Governor M. Jodi Rell today announced that the state will help General Reinsurance Corp. move its headquarters to another facility in Stamford, keeping Gen Re in Connecticut and retaining its more than 800 jobs while continuing the state’s leadership role in the insurance and financial services sector.

Governor Rell Joins City, Business Leaders to Celebrate Grand Opening of New Ice Cream Plant
  Governor M. Jodi Rell today joined executives from ice cream maker Celebration Foods, New Britain Mayor Tim Stewart and others for the grand opening of a 120,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art production facility at the former Fafnir Bearing site.
